If you have pets at home, animal hair, dander, and smell can be a problem. An air purifier promises to help, but which brand should you get? Here, we’re giving an Envion Therapure TPP250 review detailing the key features of this device, a video showing how to operate it, and most importantly, what consumers say about their unit.
Envion Therapure TPP240 Key Features
The Envion Therapure TPP240 air purifier is a tower-type device. It’s 26.1 inches in height, and it weighs 10.3 pounds. As advertised, it is perfect for medium to large rooms, and it comes with the following CADR rating: 137 Smoke; 132 dust; 155 pollen.
How does it work?
Envion calls it a “quadruple action purification.” First, the permanent HEPA-style filter takes particles out of the air and purifies them. Then, the air passes through a UV lamp in which viruses and bacteria get eliminated. Next, there is a photo catalyst filter that helps in removing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the air, which includes toxic fumes such as those from paint. Lastly, an optional ionizer, when turned on, makes sure that the air being re-circulated back is fresh.
What kinds of pollutants does this air purifier target?
It collects and effectively help remove smoke, pollen, dust, animal dander, dust mites, mold, bacteria, and other pollutants and allergens.
The Envion Therapure TPP240 air purifier comes with 3 speed fan settings (low, medium, high). It also has a clean filter indicator, which lights up when it’s time to clean the filter.

Envion Therapure TPP240 Review
To complete this Envion Therapure TPP240 review, we went through the feedback posted on a popular online retailer. Also, we watched review vlogs and listened to what the video owners have to say about their unit. Below is a summarized report of what we found out.
Cleaning the filter
It’s easy to clean the filter. All you have to do is to remove the cover located at the back, and then pull out the filter to vacuum it. As advertised, the filter doesn’t need to be replaced, so to people wanting to save on replacements, this should be a good news.
Eliminating strong odors
Does it totally eliminate cigarette smoke, musty odor, and pet odor?
While some people don’t have a positive experience and would tell you to stay away from this unit, many people would tell you that it does help reduce the strong smell.
In general, air purifiers can help capture and eliminate strong odors in the air. But they have limited efficiency when the odor gets into clothes and upholstery. That said, the smell may still be noticeable.

The sound increases as the speed gets higher. On the first two speeds, you would barely hear the noise. But it does make a little noise at the highest setting, and the sound is mostly the sound of a fan blowing.
Limitations of the product
First, unlike some brands such as the AeraMax 300 this product doesn’t have a sensor that detects air quality and adjusts the speed setting. As one person has said, you might be tempted to choose the highest setting to maximize efficiency. This guesswork has its disadvantages. One of them is the electricity cost.
Next, there’s no button to turn off the lights, which can be a problem if you’re the type of person who can’t sleep with any light on. Putting a tape to cover these glowing lights can be inconvenient and downright tacky.
